"I have been plying bass for over 30 years and play some keyboards. As a baritone I can sing lead and background vocals. I am reliable, responsible and interested in many styles of music.

No dependants, addictions or convictions.

Born in Chicago I started playing guitar at age seven, took classical lesson for four years and then switched to bass in high school. My early influences as a bass player were Paul McCartney and John Entwistle. Through high school I played in an 8-piece brass funk / rock band which won several talent awards. In the mid 80s I worked with drummer Jeffery Perkins (currently with Paul Thorn Band) and Earl Letiecq from The Effigies to form The Squad, a 3-piece instrumental band similar to Joe Satriani. We played with Robin Trower and Roy Buchanan on several dates. Dave Bergeron from Bloodsport, joined us to form Jack Scratch, an alternative band that played shows with Jane's Addiction and The Smashing Pumpkins. Both bands played every major night club in the Midwest, and were regularly booked at Caberet Metro, The Park West and The Rivera Theatre in Chicago.

In 2001 I moved to Los Angeles and formed The Chicago Sound Experience with fellow Chicagoan and record producer Lee Popa. We recorded a tribute album to blues legend Willie Dixon and went to Japan to promote it. In 2004 I played with Michael McDonald at the NBA All-star game half time show at The Staple's Center. Later that year I hooked up with LA based guitarist Katya (as seen on VH1 Rock Fantasy Camp) and played the LA club scene. In 2006 I again joined up with Lee and Jolee Popa and recorded on their electronica project Pinksideofthemoon. The album was released in 2011.

From 2009-2011 I played with Michael Ubaldini, first in his rockabilly band and then in his country band, Michael and the Lonesome Playboys. After playing country for a while I was ready to get back to my rock / funk roots. I was then influenced by Bootsy Collins and The Funk University as well as Stu Hamm.

Most of last year was spent commuting between Los Angeles and Chicago. My former band Jack Scratch got back together there, we played a few shows, released "2012" which is a collection of singles from the early 90's and recorded a new album to be released this summer."
